Role & Responsibilities – E&I Lead
Experienced E&I Lead with a minimum of 10 years experience, including a minimum of 5 years on site experience in a similar position.
Design Phase
- Review contract and content of Installation Tender Documents
- Read Package specific documents
- Read Project specific documents
- Experienced in stake holder management across disciplines and design companies, Vendors and the Client.
- Manage Electrical Installation schedule, cost and risks.
- Weekly Reporting and engagement with the installation Contractors, Designers and commissioning team.
Preconstruction Phase
- Support Electrical Installation Contractor with development of model
- Support with the review and chasing of approval of technical submittals.
- Review schedule and highlight any misalignment with the L3 master schedule
- Raise any schedule issues with dependencies that are not linked or impossible
- Identify and build relationship with interfacing work packages in Facility
- Facility Electrical
- HVAC
- BMS
- Assist with the Earthing connection requirements coordinating cable connections required between Facility Electrical and Field Equipment.
- Understand First Of Kind inspections proposed for quality
- Understand ITP for the package
- Understand Quality plan for the package
Construction Phase
- Day to day supervision
- Ensure Project specific requirements are implemented by Electrical Installation Contractor
- Attend the weekly walkdowns and coordination meetings, ensure the E&I package requirements are adequately represented.
- Verity contractor progress report against lived experience on site.
- Escalation as required of schedule impact issues arising on site.
- Checking installation against design requirements as install progresses
- Liaise with Design team in resolving on site design issues
- Liaise with space management teams in resolving on site clashes
- Attend sample of contractor ITP requirements as deemed necessary, highlight any issues that require escalation or excessive quality support.
- Attend line walks and complete checklists 100% of checklist to be completed in Dalux
- Attend as required – toolbox talks, Influence topics where specific improvements needed.
- Take ownership for the installation of the MCC and vendor panels. Coordinate and manage the LOTO procedure in conjunction with the electrical contractor.
Commissioning Phase
Support the handover of all systems to the Client Team.
Represent the E&I in the overall commissioning planning meetings.
Review and comment on the various Process Package Site Acceptance Protocols.
Understand the lifecycle and actively drive the SATs to incorporate the required handover from E&I Supplier Inspection Reports.
Manage the power isolation and power up as required during the initial testing and commissioning phase.
Support the commissioning of all process packages and support the commissioning team on progress reporting.
